The 4th Annual Rockfish Shootout Tournament

The 4th Annual Rockfish Shootout Tournament at Coltons Point Marina will be held April 27 & 28, 2012. We are limiting the registration this year to 75 boats - so get in quickly before registration is full. The registration fee is $225 per boat ($250 after April 8th) and the tournament is for amateur as well as commercial fisherman. The net proceeds go to benefit the Seventh District Optimist Club,a Non-Profit organization that provides services and assistance to children in St. Mary's County. The 2012 Rockfish Shootout Tournament will bring more boats, bigger prizes, and a party that will rival any event in the area.

The Rockfish Tournament Particulars are as follows:

• Captains Meeting - Thursday, April 26th from 7:00 - 9:00pm
• 1st Day Fishing - Friday, April 27th
  • Line In: 6:30am
  • Weigh In: Entrance of Carthagena Creek by 4:00pm
  • Party Starts at 4:00pm
• 2nd Day Fishing - Saturday, April 28th
  • Line In: 6:30am
  • Weigh In: Entrance of Carthagena Creek by 4:00pm
  • Awards - 5:30pm
  • Full Dinner at Dennis Point Marina and Campground (each boat receives 3 complimentary dinners)
  • Band - TBD
  • Beverages - Beer & Soda
  • Rain or Shine under the tent

Optional Tournaments within the Main Event (OTME)

• 1st Day Heaviest Rockfish
• 2nd Day Heaviest Rockfish
• 1st Day Combo Weight
• 2nd Day Combo Weight
• Heaviest Overall Rockfish

Each OTME is $50 and will be dispersed at 80% to the winner and 20% to the Seventh District Optimist Club/Tournament Administration. The disbursements will happen at the time the awards are presented.

• Teen Tourney (16 & under) - Heaviest Fish Over the 2 Days of the Event: $100 Winner
